Criteria for selecting pilgrims for the 1442 season

One of the closest seasons to the heart of every Muslim is the Hajj season, and how many souls yearn to circumambulate the Kaaba, visit the Holy Land, and perform the Hajj rituals in the most beautiful, clear and purest parts of the earth.

However, in light of what all countries of the world are witnessing from the continuing developments of the emerging Corona Virus (Covid 19) pandemic and the emergence of new mutations in it, and in an effort by the competent authorities to follow the global situation accurately. And in order to facilitate the performance of the rites of Hajj. Due to the nature of the rituals of Hajj, and the presence of many pilgrims from all over the world to spend long times in various specific places to perform the rituals of Hajj.

This makes the keenness of specialists in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to apply the highest levels of health precautions a very vital matter, to protect the health of pilgrims and ensure their safety.

 

The role of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in securing pilgrims:

Consequently, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has confirmed that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always attaches great importance to the safety, health, and security of pilgrims, and this is at the forefront of its priorities. In compliance with the purposes of Islamic Sharia in preserving the human soul, with its constant endeavor to provide all the necessary facilities to facilitate the pilgrims of the merciful to perform Hajj and Umrah, and to enable them to reach the holy sites with ease.

 

Categories that can perform Hajj season 1442 :

Accordingly, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah decided to limit the availability of registration for those wishing to perform the Hajj rituals for the year 1442 AH to citizens and residents inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia only, through the electronic link for pilgrims launched by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in order to ensure that the rituals are performed in safety and security while adhering to the controls Regulatory, health standards and security requirements at all stages of performing the obligatory prayer, as follows:

• Registration in the electronic portal of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
• The total number of pilgrims for the year 1442 AH is (60,000 pilgrims), for residents of all nationalities and citizens in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• The applicant must have never performed Hajj before.
• Taking into account the age in descending order, starting with those who are 65 years old and after them in descending order.
• The health condition of those wishing to perform Hajj for the year 1442 AH should be free of chronic diseases.
• Performing the Hajj rites for this year 1442 AH will be limited to age groups from (18 to 65 years) for those vaccinated, according to the controls and mechanisms followed in the Kingdom for immunization categories (vaccinated, or vaccinated who completed one dose and spent 14 days or vaccinated recovering from infection).
